Corners Of My Home // Dressing Table Makeover

Back in February I shared my G Plan Dressing Table with you all, I spoke at the time of my love for Mid Century pieces and how this beauty had been a steal but also how it really needed some love and updating.

Then I was lucky enough to be chosen as a Pinty Plus ambassador, Pinty Plus being a Spray Chalk Paint, it has all the magical qualities of chalk paint with the best added bonus, sprayable!

So I decided to take on a big challenge and spray my G Plan Dressing Table for this months project and what do you think of the result ????

I love the colour choices, I had so many ideas at first on how to do it, I wanted to leave some of the natural wood showing as it is too pretty to fully cover but the top was pretty ruined so painting that was a must.

If you love the Pantone colours of 2016 then these 2 colours are for you. Rose Garden and Blue Indigo Pinty Plus, I must say the Blue I would have all over the house, it is such a classic tone.

My Bedroom (when we get round to it) is going to have a Pink, Blue and Copper colour theme, with renting I have to bring in colour in, in other ways and I think the dressing table is now doing a great job of that.

The whole project took me less than 2 hours to complete and that was with sanding, waxing, spraying and waiting for it to dry. I can not recommend Pinty Plus enough, not just because I am an ambassador but because it is brilliant and so easy to use.

I went on to also spray a pen holder I had as a temporary make up brush holder, I think it looks so much better than before and brings more of the Indigo Blue in to break up the vast of Rose Garden.

Next I want to up date some bits on my Dressing Table. The Glass jars I have had for 8 years or more from Laura Ashley, they work perfectly but the silver tops no longer work, so I have a copper/vintage knob plan in my head. I also only have a Silver Mirror (not shown) so I am on the look out for a Copper one, it has to be big and stand as my eyesight is dreadful.
