It has been a long night for me, yesterday at 10.00am GMT we received a phone call from my Aunt that my Granddad had a brain hemorrhage and was probably not going to survive the night, this is my only Grandfather and lives over 3000 miles away in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Yesterday afternoon my Auntie called again to say that he had had an operation and had come through it successfully(they weren’t sure he would as he’s 85) but the next 48hrs were crucial his survival rate is very small and he is in a coma with ventilator.
My Mom and Youngest Brother have flown this morning to be there, but I unfortunately could not afford to go. I flew out there last September on an emergency flight as my Grandma had a Stroke. The costs to fly is approx £800/$1600 and I am still paying for the last one.
Basically the next 48hrs is the waiting period, I just hope I wont have to find the money to fly to a funeral.
So please keep my dear Grandad in your prayers, here is a dear man and has spent so many years being so proud, he still shows even the people in the supermarket our piccy’s from when i was 6.
