All girls love to get dressed up, I am not sure why but I always feel I need an event to do this (something I am trying to change) so I was over the moon when my best girls My Two Mums invited me as their plus one to the Mad Blog Awards.
I decided early on it would be a simple black dress for me, I wanted it be more about the accessories, also lets be honest black is slimming.
I ended up with a Black Skater dress from Asos Curve, which was a total steal at under £30. Then the lovely people at Kaleidoscope offered to send me a gift in the form of the most amazing Gold oversized clutch I had been lusting over.
Amazing isn’t it ? I honestly believe every woman should have this in her wardrobe, go buy it now!
I used this to style the rest of my outfit, my nails were painted in Penny Talk by Essie, I wore a Primark gold mid ring and pulled my favourite Irregular Choice shoes out of the Cupboard, the perfect shoe for a simple black dress.
I finished off with a Vintage Brooch in my hair and the gorgeous Choker that House of Fraser sent me the week before.
Make Up wise I went for simple gold eyes, heavy eyeliner and of course a red lip, there is nothing better than a red lip in my mind.
There were some truly amazing outfits at the Mad Blog Awards, I wish I had got some pictures, but I was very pleased with how my outfit came off, the right amount of simple and glitzy.
